Reverse osmosis systems utilize tap water as their primary source, subjecting it to a series of treatments. Initially, the water undergoes pre-treatment filtration, which may include an optional water softener. Subsequently, it is processed through a reverse osmosis membrane.

This advanced filtration method is capable of removing a wide range of contaminants, including particulate matter, colloids, organic impurities, heavy metal ions, bacteria, and viruses. Remarkably, it can also eliminate 99% of dissolved salts, achieving a desalination rate of 96%-99%. As a result, the conductivity of the permeate water is reduced to below 10 µS/cm, ensuring that the dense water does not adversely impact the environment.

One of the key advantages of reverse osmosis equipment is its robustness against variations in input water quality. Furthermore, the system does not require regeneration, ensuring stable performance over extended periods.

For even greater purity, a two-stage reverse osmosis system can be employed. In this configuration, the output from the first stage serves as the feed for the second stage, further purifying the water. Typically, the conductivity of the water after the second stage is less than 2 µS/cm, indicating a high level of purity.

Product Description

Reverse Osmosis System:

Osmosis is a naturally occurring process in which liquids spontaneously flow from a solution with a lower concentration (fresh water) to a solution with a higher concentration (such as seawater). Reverse osmosis is when the liquid flows in opposite directions between membranes.


Reverse osmosis equipment uses a high-pressure pump to pressurize the high-salinity solution side after the raw water passes through the pretreatment system, and uses a reverse osmosis membrane (RO membrane) with a pore size of 1/10000μm to force water molecules in a higher concentration (such as seawater) to flow through the membrane in the opposite direction to the lower concentration (fresh water) side. Finally, it is separated into extremely low-concentration water (that is, pure water) for use and higher-concentration water for discharge or resource reuse.


At the same time, Reverse osmosis equipment removes large particles, suspended matter, colloids, organic matter, taste, bacteria, viruses, heavy metal ions and other harmful substances in the water and 99% of dissolved salts. The system desalination is as high as 97% or more, and the conductivity of the outlet water reaches ≤10μs/cm.

These are disinfection methods used to eliminate bacteria and viruses in the water, ensuring its safety for consumption or use.

Dosing system/Water Softener: A dosing system is used to add chemicals at precise rates, while a water softener removes hardness ions, improving water quality.
PE or stainless steel raw/pure water tank: Tanks made from these materials store raw or purified water, with PE being lightweight and stainless steel providing durability and resistance to corrosion.
FRP or stainless steel pre-treatment tank: These tanks are used for the initial stages of water treatment, with FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic) being resistant to corrosion and stainless steel offering strength and longevity.

Component:

There are several consumables that need to be replaced regularly.

1. Quartz sand: Replace it about every 18-24 months. 50kg/bag
2. Activated carbon: Replace it about every 18-24 months. 25kg/bag
3. Resin: Replace it about every 18-24 months. 25L/bag
4. PP Filter cartridge: Replace it about every 1 month
5. Ro membrane: Replace it about every 2 years

We recommend purchasing 1 to 2 years' worth of PP filter cartridges along with the machine, as these cartridges need to be replaced every month.

Q:What is the difference between UF and RO membrane ?

A:Reverse osmosis and ultrafiltration, commonly referred to as RO and UF, use membrane technology. The reverse osmosis system uses a semipermeable membrane that separates 99.99% of inorganic dissolved material from the water molecule. The ultrafiltration system uses a hollow fibre membrane to stop solid debris and microscopic contaminants. UF is a mechanical filter, but it can filter water down to the superfine level of 0.01 micron, hence the name ultrafiltration. Ultrafiltration is a filter system, while reverse osmosis is a process where molecules are separated.
